Rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar: every state and union territory, 23 October 2026
India has commissioned 53,65,331 rooftop solar systems under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, from 93,20,474 applications at a conversion rate of 57.6%. Together they add up to 18.71 GW of installed capacity, an average of 3.49 kW per rooftop, with ₹34,103 Cr of subsidy released to households. Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra lead the country by installations.
In the states and UTs Solentra supplies: Punjab has 21,102 systems (96.6 MW), Chandigarh has 1,831 systems (8.6 MW), Himachal Pradesh has 15,341 systems (52.4 MW), Jammu and Kashmir has 48,210 systems (172.7 MW). Figures are captured daily from the Government of India National Portal and were last updated on 23 October 2026.
