Rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar: every state, 4 September 2026
India has commissioned 46,44,944 rooftop solar systems under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, from 80,62,448 applications — a conversion rate of 57.6%. Together they add up to 16.37 GW of installed capacity, an average of 3.52 kW per rooftop, with ₹30,886 Cr of subsidy released to households. Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra lead the country by installations.
In the states Solentra supplies: Punjab has 18,976 systems (85.7 MW), Chandigarh has 1,437 systems (6.0 MW), Himachal Pradesh has 13,262 systems (45.4 MW), Haryana has 1,34,275 systems (452.1 MW). Figures are captured daily from the Government of India National Portal and were last updated on 4 September 2026.
